On Saturday, June 6th, 2020, Half Marathon World Record holder Geoffrey Kamworor will be joining AMC climbers Cara Dorney, Kalli Schumacher, Ryan Tang, and RJ Lau in a global virtual relay marathon. Geoffrey will be running in Kenya and the AMC climbers will running their legs in New York.
Geoffrey is the man with the golden touch. In a glittering career the versatile Kenyan has snared global titles on the road and in cross country and also established himself as a leading global name in the marathon.
Cara is our resident badass trail runner and currently in training for her first trail running ultra-marathon.
Kalli started running during the pandemic to keep up her fitness and she’s proving herself a born natural. She currently training for her first marathon with her father in October.
Ryan also started running during the pandemic to stay in shape. After a few runs on the road less travelled, he’s addicted to trail running.
RJ is veteran marathon runner with 5 finishes under his belt. He was slated to run the Tokyo, Edinburgh, and Berlin marathons this year, but due to the pandemic, they were all postpone. RJ is also a self proclaimed “lazy marathoner”, the flat and fast races.
