Para Cliff-Hangers & Ragged Mountain

It was another eventful weekend for the climbing committee.

On Saturday evening, we joined ParaCliff-Hangers, an adaptive climbing team at the Cliffs for a night of headlight climbing, waffles, and other climbing shenanigans. The evening was a fundraiser for their upcoming trip to the adaptive nationals in San Diego.

At the crack of dawn on Sunday, our lead instructor Anthony gave Ryan from the Hiking Committee a taste of trad climbing at Ragged Mountain in Connecticut. Putting him through the paces, demonstrating climbing techniques, and most importantly hauling our gear 😂.

This was Ryan’s first time climbing outdoors and he’s already jumping into the deep end! Needless to say, he’s hooked.
